MTA’s elementary program is thoughtfully designed to get students started off on the ‘right foot’ and ready for our rigorous middle and high school programs. We know that students at many schools who struggle early tend to not recover – ours do. We are a Skillman Foundation “Improving School” in grades 2 - 4 and our PreK - 1 program continues to earn the praise of parents. Our students succeed at a high level, and we help every child achieve to his or her full potential.

We rely on data to prove our success and focus on areas of improvement. Our MEAP scores improved substantially in 2009-10 and the results of our other assessments (Scantron’s Performance Series, Developmental Reading Assessment (DRA), Michigan Literacy Progress Profile (MLPP) and Mathmatics Numeracy for Oakland Pupils (MNOP) show remarkable gains. We tell our parents that a child that enters and stays with our program will be successful and we have the data to prove it.
